New ICAZ Working Group on Neotropical Zooarchaeology (NZWG)

The first meeting of the Working Group will be held at the next ICAZ Conference in Paris, on Friday, 27 August, 17:30 – 18:30 hs, in Jussieu, amphi 45B.

A number of particularities that characterize the Neotropics -the biogeographic region ranging from central and southern Mexico to southern South America and adjacent islands- are relevant to understanding the diversity and evolution of human-animal interactions through time, as well as the properties of the resulting archaeofaunal record.

The mission of the newly formed Neotropical Zooarchaeology Working Group (NZWG) is to offer a forum where people can meet from any country interested in these research problems.

All interested researchers are invited to participate and/or to join the NZWG!
